THIS IS PRICELESS!!!
Judy Wallman, a professional genealogical researcher, discovered that Hillary Clinton's great-great uncle, Remus Rodham, was hanged for horse stealing and train robbery in Montana in 1889.
The only known photograph of Remus shows him standing on the gallows. On the back of the picture is this inscription: "Remus Rodham; horse thief, sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889."
Judy e-mailed Hillary Clinton for comments. Hillary's staff of professional image adjusters sent back the following biographical sketch:
"Remus Rodham was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory. His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1883, he devoted several years of his life to service at a government facility, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed."
And THAT is how it's done folks!-----------GET READY!!!!-------
Great story!
If we still had the Pinkertons we could have
got rid of some descendants too ! 8-)
A search of the internets produced this picture identified as Remus Rodham. However, the article goes on to say that Gunther Gore, Al Gore's great-great uncle, was also hanged in 1889 in Tennessee for horse stealing and for robbing the Tennessee Flyer. It also says that George Bush's great-great uncle was hanged in 1889 in Texas for horse stealing and robbing the Texas Flyer six times. And not to leave out the Canadians in the audience, Robert Dion was hanged in Canada for horse stealing and robbing the Canadian Pacific Railroad six times. Is this some kind of monumental coincidence, or what?

Good find, however that does not seem to change the point of the post, and that is a demonstration of the skill of the spin doctors. No matter what your political bent is those spin people are really good at what they do, almost unbelievably good.

They are good at what they do because ignorant people believe what they want to believe. And these days, it appears they will believe most anything the spin doctors tell them. I suppose it's because they were never taught critical thinking skills in school.
Would really like to continue reading this but just heard the train whistle and I still have to water the horses.

My intention wasn't to change the point of the post but to illustrate other variations on the same theme.
I HEARD it was a "scaffolding mishap"!
