If you really want to practice shooting Bald Eagles, no question Alaska is the place to go. And if you stop in Haines, be sure to look up fellow hogger Tom Ganner. He escorted me to help capture the last two images.

Thanks Sr3v3m. It's my favorite also. Sometimes I wish my 70-200 had more reach, but it is so fast to focus and gives such great bokeh that I forgive it it's shortcomings.
That eagle had taken off, flying away from me when it suddenly wheeled up and presented that shot.

Very nice series. Bringing up the shadows in #1 and #3 would give you more feather detail.

Yes, thank you, good idea. Here it is a little lighter. If I go much more, I think it starts to look too much different than I remember it.
