Here in the UK Argos have the D3100 with 18-55mm kit lens for sale at £290 ($460).
Is the D3100 a good camera and is that a good price for it.
It would be used mostly for landscapes and street photos.

My son had one and I used it many times it is a camera not to be under estimated, in my opinion if I had o chose between a bridge camera or 3100 there would be no contest

I think the D3100 is on the discontinued hit list. That's why it is a good buy. Get it insured you will be well away. In it's day it scored 9.2

Hi, Marti, when goods go cheap on Argos they are often "end of range" items, but they can be good value.

Best buy near me here in Florida has the D3100 for $449.00 so you're right in the ball park. Great little camera.

I own a 3100 and it's a great camera. I have gotten many photos with it that I just love. You won't be disappointed.

D3100 is a fine camera. best brice for that kit (with VR lens) is $ 446.95 from reputable Nikon Dealer. There is also a 2 Lens VR kit with 18-55 and 55-200 for $ 596.95 or a Non VR 2 lens kit for $ 496.95 however after having folks shoot with non VR I would recommend going VR only
