Download the manual here:

Start with page 95.

1 spot in the middle ?

So, on the left side of the D7000 is a small button for AF or M

You can press the button in and watch in the top right led screen and turn either the front command dial or the rear dial.

One will change from AF C/S/A and the other will change the spot mode from lots of squares up or down to a Single Point.

If I make it more simple I'd have to be there.

Thanks. The manual was helpful.

I ended up doing a reset.

Have more points now.

Still not fully right but will be better when I need it kn an hour.

I had used the a/f switch and the screen showed the points but only one was in the viewfinder. Now I have more pointd in s or c in the viewfinder but the little screen on top of camera does not change from showing the ^A points like it had been before.

Off to the camera shop when I get home.... maybe a second camera will be my early christmas present.
