I've seen some really nice work posted on this site employing the use of Pixel Bender in Photoshop. I don't have the full Photoshop program - it's more than I need - I just have PSE10, Lightroom and some free programs. Maybe I'm just googling/searching for the wrong thing, but I don't see anything comparable out there that's not in CS5. Anybody familiar with how to achieve a similar look using something other than Pixel Bender?
Thanks for any guidance you can provide!

Thank you both....I figured I was searching for the wrong thing, and of course I was.
Thanks Nikonian. I knew that, just didn't look closely enough. Would like to know too, why UHH puts that s in there!

UHH has nothing to do with it. Original URL website sets the security 'S'. As an example, all Facebook addresses have the same added security.

From what I understand, Pixel Bender is a programming language.
Depending on the effect you want, you may be able to find similar effects as plug-ins for PSE.
There is a free Adobe plug-in called Pixel Bender. It is compatible with PS CS5 (not with PS CS6 or Elements). Once installed, this plug-in will be accessed via the Filter menu. Pixel Bender contains several filters; one of them (which seems to be very popular) is called Oil Painting.

Four of the presets available will produce results quite similar to Adobe's Oil Painting filter. These presets are: Cartooned, CrispStyle, Curly Smooth, and Stylize Details.

Thank you Ziza...that is very helpful. I have some other Topaz plug-ins - I'll have to check out Clean also. I found a Photoshop tutorial that will also work in Elements with the exception of creating an action. I'll check out the other links you've provided. Greatly appreciate the info!
