Very nice shots. The first one is very interesting. It looks like you caught it rolling over. That would be a rare occurrence.
Where did you take them? We were in Tracy Arm on July 4 and Glacier Bay July 8.
The density of the ice determines how rich a blue color they have.

We were on the Golden Princess the week of July 7. We were not able to view Tracy Arm due to the amount of icebergs in the channel. Photos 1 and 3 were both in the process of rolling.

We were on a small boat so we were able to thread our way through. Yes, lots of bergs there. Here's one.

Couldn't you get someone to swim over and sit on them to show some scale to the icebergs. :)

I love your photos, Matthew! I've never been to Alaska or seen an iceberg, so I find these very interesting.

Our next trip is currently being planned for the Western Carribean next year. Until then I will be practicing my shooting skills.
