I'm new here and love the forum. I've been traveling and taking pictures for over 40 years, but I just got into macros 2 years ago. I am currently using Nikons (D5000 and D90) with extension tubes. I am not a PS user. Instead I keep it simple with Picasa.
These pics were taken in New York City in my neighborhood.

good looking flower pics, way to go!
Love the colors. I really like the Columbine.
I really liked the third one alot. Love the blurred BG. First 2 were good but 3 was my favorite.
In general I like the images. The first one is a little blown out. Was it sunny out as it appears overexposed. Number two is the best. I think I see a little digital noise in them but cannot tell for sure with the resolution they come in with. Macro images can give a whole new dimension to your photography. It is however much less forgiving than landscapes as you have to be dead on on focus etc. I try when possible to use a tripod and a high f-stop. Also I shoot bracketed images and then use the one with the best exposure to get away from the overexposure that quite often happens.
