Lens repair

Some years ago I bought a Minolta Maxxum 7000 and three lenses. I now have a Sony which accepts them. Alas, the most used lens which is 24-105 for film is jammed and won't zoom. Where can I get it repaired? I found a Precision Camera Repair online but they say they don't work on Minoltas any more. There once was a Professional Camera Repair in New York City run by a Marty Forscher. Is it still in business? Is there anyone else in the metro area (I'm in New Jersey)?

Oh well, as long as he lets us tap into his wealth of knowledge of photography once in a while, I won't try to change him ;-)

The link didn't work. And I don't understand the by-play here. Why would he be upset?

You must be thinking of someone else when you refer to "wealth of knowledge"........ Ever hear the expression from a song a while back.... something about being "a legend in his own mind" ..........

No, but I heard it on the Borsch Circuit in 1963.

Hey, folks, I asked a question but I'm not getting a useful answer. Where can I get my lens repaired? The link didn't work. That lens cost me over $450 (a lot of $ for a retired guy) so I don't want to use it as a doorstop.
