I find that the book of Revelation lends it self very well to artistic expression.

Your thoughts and comments are always welcome.

Envisioning heaven...Our minds are too limited,I'm sure, but we try with what we are capable to understand.
You know I like what you do. this is very moving. Beautifully done.

Carlysue,

Thank you for your kind comments. You know of course that there is really a road in front of this Mission that sits on the campus of the University of Santa Clara. The water/river was added by me, which made the image perfect for the quote from Revelation.

I always try to be creative. Creativity is always drawn from one's historical life experiences. . .maybe this is why old people like me can take our visions to a level higher or deeper than most?

Actually, since I've never been to the University of Santa Clara, I didn't realize there was a road there instead of a crystal clear spring. I'd vote for the spring if there was an option. More inviting for prayer and meditation. Roads are busy.

Carlysue,

While I generally don't do this, I am going to post the original of this image so you and others can get a true handle on the process that took place from original to final art image.

This original is a scan of the original piece of film that was shot with my then Canon F1, 24mm FD lens. This is untouched, complete with dust spots, etc.

What you made of this photograph is so amazing. The enhanced sky, the stream with reflections, the dramatic color and light on a nicely designed building that has ho-hum color...you certainly transformed this original image! I have to think this took quite a while to render. AND that you saw this in your head when you took this photo, knowing it could be something way more inspirational and beautiful...THAT is the artist's imagination. I am thinking most of us would have walked on by, seeing a tan building with a parking lot/street.

Does not the hand of God guide us in everything? Could I have done otherwise here?

Thank you for looking.

Hi Mooseeyes,

While no where near as artistic as your very nice picture, I had a play around with the water in your 'painted top' using Photoshop and came up with this first attempt at reflection in water.

Right now, I am looking for nice 'cloud/sky' formations to photograph to use as backgrounds.

And the closer one looks into it, it is amazing how many use the intelligence God gave them to claim it all came together by random chance !!!!

I think they are not using their intelligence when they claim such illogical things.
