No tears, but it is an inspiring story.

But, I'm left wondering what has happened to them since the end of the video. I'll have to try to find out.

Thanks for posting it.

And an update on Lisa:

"Fenn moved to Beverly with her husband, Dr. Navid Mahooti, in 2011. The couple first met in Connecticut, while Fenn was at ESPN and Mahooti, a Gordon College graduate (’96) was attending medical school.

“He had always wanted to come back to this area,” Fenn said. “He just loved it. Now he’s working as a physician in Danvers, so that’s why we moved back up here.”

Fenn has remained active as a freelance producer, while also taking care of the couple’s two children Saxon, 3, and Talia, 1. She’s looking forward to see the broadcast this weekend."

That's a GREAT story.

See attached for a team the health care center I work for, sponsors, trains and rehabs. I work with these guys nearly every day. They are just a few... Lots of vets, some kids, every one has a story. We just gave a Thai kid who had polio, and can't speak English, a custom made racing chair. The program has given away one or two every year for 25 years- they cost 2- 3g's. He was befriended by a black neighbor, who brought him up to us to get involved with our various wheelchair programs. We have basketball, curling, shooting, cross country skiing, Biathlon, Running, Wheel chair racing, paddling and equine therapy/riding programs and are working on more.

I will say, with technology and programs and donations, the Kid in the movie could be walking on his own two feet.. at no cost to him. People come out of the woodwork to help ANYBODY, Black, White, Hispanic, Thai, Bosnian... we have them all. And the people who give, are mostly evil white capitalists. LOL I am jabbing there- but honestly and sincerely, it is essentially true.
