Ok this is a strange one. I somehow overwrote my windows 8 product key with a bogus one and have no idea how to retrieve the correct one because I did not document it what I activated.
Is there anyway to find out what the correct key is?

If it was a legitimate purchase and you registered it with Microsoft then you can recover that key through their customer support.

It is legit. Windows 8 was preinstalled on my desktop. What information will they need to verify.

If it was pre-installed at the time of purchase, then a verification label will be on the computer case somewhere with the product key printed on it. That should take care of the problem for you.

get your hands on this 1 mate ( Product Key Explorer ) you will find it on most torrent sites :thumbup: :thumbup:

Open your control panel, go to "system" and look about half way down the page it will be listed there in the very last information group.

as far as that problem is concerned, yes. Now I have a new problem. My Geforce card stopped working. I'm in the process of trying to fix that now...:(
