This is the reason that I could never consider myself a professional photographer ..... I have no idea what I'm looking at .....
I'd consider Billy the Kid valuable because of the age, and Dead Soldiers are right up there too .....
..... Now I know where Seinfeld got the idea for the Puffy Shirt episode (George becomes a hand model) "Hands"

Tin Type pictures are worth it to the right person, Soldiers once again to the right person. The rest of these pictures??????????? Don't have a clue where the price comes from. Even if I had the $$$ still would NOT pay for some of these. Bottom line, I have to agree with you on this subject.

Proof positive that some people have more dollars than sense.
How do I get some of my stuff in front of those who want to pay more?
Last weekend I went to the Festival of Arts in Laguna Beach, California. It's a two-month-long festival that's been going on for 80 years or so. This year the highest priced artwork I saw was $34,000 for a landscape photography, and $55,000 for a pelican sculpture. I never can afford anything at the Festival because the lowest price is usually about $150 for a drawing by a first-grader, but I do get lots of great ideas about how to make people see what I want them to see and not necessarily what I saw (Edgar Degas).
