I would suggest you check the facts presented there are not 300,00+ muslims in Detroit and some 48,000 now and many families are well established. There are parts of Detroit that are really very nice.

This is an anti immigrant screed written by a leader of the anti immigrant movement.

Detroit is in sad shape no doubt but so is Cleaveland and other rust belt cities not to mention Trenton and Newark. The tragedy of Detroit is that it was a one industry town and when that industry collapsed so did the city.

It is easy to place blame in hindsight, but the question is what to do about it.

Someone should tell this guy that the programs of the Great Society ended in the Clinton era.

As for Cleavland, Trenton, Newark and the "other rust belt cities" you mention, so what? They haven't succumbed to the almost complete disintegration and fall into bankruptcy that Detroit has. It was a one industry town. That industry was unions. My brother-in-law has worked for a subsidiary of GM for 25 years. I heard it all from people that know. I was at a party at his home, and met many current & retired employees. I had an interesting coversation with an 80 year old black man. He started at GM at 25, retired at 50. He has been collecting a fantastic pension and medical package for 30 Years!!! That's 5 years longer than he even worked there. And yet it was he that was going on & on about how wrong this is, and how the company cannot maintain this type of waste. He's probably gone by now, as this was about 10 years ago. Even that long ago, he new it would be over soon. He predicted the complete collapse of the American auto industry and eventually, the city of Detroit.

You're correct, the same thing did happen in Cleveland. Also Pittsburgh. What is the common denominator?? Unions!!! Auto and steel..

What we see in Detroit will be common in America if we don't stop the insanity and purposeful destruction happening. The bus is heading for the cliff and some still are shouting "more gas, more gas" not even considering that applying the brakes is the solution.
