Hey, Guys.
Can someone please tell me, is the
new "ef 24-70mm f/4l is usm" lense
compatible with the older 600D ( Rebel, I think).
It had a message being showed.
I cannot find anything on their website.
If anyone has experienced this it'd be good.
Thanks a bunch.

It's "lens" not lense

Why would it not be, why would Canon limit it's customer base

All Canon EOS cameras support the EF mount. The 'EF' in the lens name indicates it will work with all EOS cameras. Wiki has a good write-up: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Canon_EF_lens_mount

I did not even realize there was a new f4 lens, in addition to the new 2.8mkll. They should both be compatible with your Rebel. Try cleaning the contacts. Google the alarm code and see what you come up with. Good luck. SS

Ok. Thanks. It's someone else's camera
body, so I'll have to see next time.
I would've thought it would be okay, also.

I like lense. I want lense. I am go to Kamera Shoppe for a lense.

JR1, please go away. In you not being an obnoxious Kourtesy Kop, you are a boring Spelling Spook. You're too smart and too helpful in other things to destroy it all by being so judgmental. Thank you.

Unfortunately JR1, I'm not with you on this one.

Lense can be a perfectly valid spelling, though I don't use it.

And Canon has done just that at least once....(FD lenses)

I don't normally make comments about spellings or someone's choice of grammar. But I have to agree the reply screamed obnoxious!

Thanks guys.
I had to hold my tongue. And try to be
grateful.
Aussie spelling is obviously different
but I wouldn't correct those little things.
Anyway.....

The spell checkers on this site are true bores. I would colour or is it color them uninteresting.

I was defending you about what JR1 said about your spelling of lens (lense). He then made the mistake with his spelling of it's when it should have been its.
