I upgraded to dslr photography a year ago beginning with a Nikon D5100 (where within 3 months the d5200 appeared :o( ). I really like taking pictures of stuff and hope to consider myself a photographer someday. I hope to continue to develop an eye for subjects and composition.

Hi kidnomo, welcome to the hog. For openers, your post shows great promise...Your 3 pictures have all the elements....good composition, level horizon lines and good color. Keep it up.
