The first pic is of the Princes Palace in Monte Carlo, Monaco. I did not have a tripod so to improvise I took off the scarf I had on, rolled it up, used the top of someones car, focused and then set the lens on the scarf (like a little sandbag) and shot the pic. The two black and whites are in the same area but there were no cars around. These are just handheld.

Nice shots. I like #3 the best. It makes you want to see whats just around the bend.

I agree, they are all nice but 3 makes me wonder and that is intriguing!

Got to agree with Hal there... number three is a fabulous picture. Very moody and atmospheric and I like the "portrait" format. Nice in B&W too.
Number 3 is excellent.
Every photographer I know looks for a place like that.
Nice job.
Thank you all very much. I don't have to tell you that praise from peers is so very rewarding. I can't tell you how much fun I have had over the years with photography. Now that I am retired I can afford all the time I want to play. Right now I am trying to get pics of the desert around my home. I will post some of those next to see what people think of them. They are different.

I will post a few tonight. Thanks ever so much for your interest.
I particularly like #3. The B&W is a fine photo but I nearly always prefer color. Color, for me, adds dimension. The photo (#3) tells a story, and that makes it a fine photo. Nothing critical here, just a reminder to me that all photographers have their unique vision, and I am not qualified to question it.
Love BMW with lots of angles and yes...mystery. Thanks for sharing the photos.
Yup...#3 nailed it. Intriguing shot. ;-)
All are good but there is a mystery behind #3. You never know what is around the bend.

Let me suggest a light-weight travel tripod. It would have helped no. 3 tremendously. Still a great shot!
