Kindle and Adobe TV Question
Jul 18, 2013 22:12:21   #

My wife just bought me a Kindle Fire HD, I loaded everything to watch videos and YouTube, it all works great. The problem is when I go to the Adobe TV Tutorials the videos wont play. Does anyone use a Kindle for Adobe TV and can tell me how to fix this. I tried surfing the net with no luck it's all about Adobe Flash Player and I downloaded that, plus the Dolphin Browser.

So you can watch YouTube videos, but you can't watch Adobe TV? I can watch them on my iPad, and that doesn't use Flash. Someone will have an idea.

I know Jerry, doesn't that sound dumb. No problem with YouTube etc. Just the Adobe TV wont run, I wonder if I need a Adobe Reader :? Just out of curiosity, have you tried to watch the Lightroom 5 videos by Julieanne Kost.

I have watched Julieanne Kost's videos on my iPad. I've also watched videos from lynda.com.

Someone wrote earlier about I have a KIA that doesn't work. The reply came from a BMW owner: my car works.
Why do we have to have these responses that don't answer the question?
Is it just to have your name over and over again in the Forum?
In other professional forums these "me too" and "I don't know about this particular problem, but..." are frown upon.

I don't think IPads have flash, but download the YouTube app, and there are dozens of tutorials on Lightroom and Photoshop. Also, google Serge Ramelli, great stuff, some free.

I have a Kindle Fire HD - can't answer your question, but if you e-mail Amazon they will answer your question. It's a good tablet.

The OP said that he thought the problem with his Kindle might be with Flash. I told him that I could watch the videos on my iPad, which does not use Flash. Therefore, Flash was probably not the problem.

In this "professional forum," we try not to "frown upon" comments too often.

Hi Ontos, I found the following article about Adobe flash on the "Amazon Customer Discussions Kindle forum, no flash player on Kindle Fire HD?"
It says that Adobe stopped supporting Flash for Android devices in August 2012, the guy tells you how to get around your problem, here's the link, I hope it helps.

Sorry I'm a bit late in replying Merv but I have been away all weekend at my youngest Granddaughters Christening. I'm pleased the advice worked and sometimes you just get lucky when you ask for help on here, anyway, it's good that you got sorted.
