SpaceWeather.com is reporting a solar radiation storm in progress, due to a coronal mass ejection. The last time this happened, there were some stunning
northern lights, visible as far south as Arkansas, Missouri, and Georgia.
No way to know if it will happen again, or where, but you might want to charge up the camera batteries, just in case. Spaceweather.com is predicting that the northern lights will be visible Monday night.
We used to live in Western NY - on lake Ontario-- I loved to watch for the Northern lights-- beautiful.

Is there an optimum time to see the auroras? "The NOAA forecasters estimate a 58% chance of severe storming around the poles when the CME arrives. High-latitude sky watchers should be alert for auroras after nightfall on Monday." Could/would these be visible from Nebraska? I have a clear view to the North and always seem to miss them.
