What a treat to see one of the juveniles fly into the nest! (there were originally 3 babies; have only seen these two the past few visits)

Unfortunately, I did clip its wings in first shot, but was happy to have that interesting sky :)

Canon SX50, set at the 1200 mm equiv (full optical zoom), then cropped.

ISO 320
f/8.0 (the smallest this camera goes)
shutter speeds 1/640 - 1/1000

The family shot in #2 is sensational Linda. Is there a chance of cloning the blue string out of the nest?
BTW. Did you know you got a Dragonfly in flight as well in #2?

Great shots Linda From Maine, really enjoyed, like the dragonfly in #2. Hate to see the nylon rope they used to build the nest. That kind of stuff kills alot of birds. Maybe when the nest is empty, someone can cut that out. Well done

I like the second the best of a good series. The composition is interesting; three birds (nice odd number) with two looking one way and the third the other. An off balance composition that I think works well.

Thank you all so much for viewing and commenting. I will give a go at cloning out the blue. I saw the dragonfly but thought it was a bird far behind the ospreys - as this is at quite a distance.

Erv and Sue: I really appreciate your viewing and commenting. To paraphrase littlebiddle on a recent post of his, it's almost as much fun sharing as being there to begin with :)
