As the Dutch would say, shooper caaar
Hummmm, I don't think wife will approves of a second motorcycle...but she may actually ride on that one...very cool.
Until you have experienced tilting as in riding a 2 wheel motorcycle...riding a trike IMO, (2 wheels rear & one forward) doesn't even come close...probably why I've been riding motorcycles since 16 yrs old. Trikes and what you refer to is to much like diving an ordinary car. Although I wouldn't turn away from a Trike if given the money and opportunity to own one.

On the forth of July I went to a car show in nearby Quakertown. The cars were great. But this is what cought my eye.. Have a look.
That's what I call ugly, it'd take forever and a day to stop it, and no doubt it under steers like a pig... Might as well
just by a softie and cut out the middle man.
The engine would make a great chain saw though :)

Thanks for looking. I dont ride bikes. Dont know to much about them. When I was a teenager, That was a long long time ago, Im 83. I wanted a harley or an indian. My dad put his foot down. He said if you come in that drive with a motercycle Ill strap your suitcase to the back and you can go right back out again. His best friend had been killed on a bike when someone ran a light. So that was the end of that. I never stopped my son from getting a bike even though I did worry when he was out on it. I too have lost three friends on bikes. two it was no fault of their own. The other had too much to drink and should never been on his bike ih that condision. I took photos of that three wheeler because of all the workmanship. It must of cost a small fortune. The owner told me the same thing as you. he said it handles like an old truck. He only rides it to the shows.
Hal,
Motorcycles were at the other end of the parental approval scale for me. My grandfather regularly transported my mum on his motorcycles. Her brother did the same. Her brother my late (and great) uncle Leon was a dispatch rider during WWII and raced motorcycles later on as well... The die was cast, early 1969 at the (not so) tender age of 13, I became a founding member of what I believe was the first motorcycle club in Australia to be sanctioned by a State High School.
I used to fall off my first big road bike about once a month. That old K2 Honda 750/4 never really hurt me though; I was probably to pissed or stoned or both to feel anything.
It finally got written off when a 6 day old Ford ran in to the back of me while I was stopped at a red light. When the screaming of tortured rubber, busted car, Honda 4 and dust had settled my view was the sump of a 351 "Clevo". Even though I was limping a bit, I walked away from that one too.
The only time I really needed an ambulance motorcycling was courtesy of a brake failure on my YZF750SP Yam. One of your country men; Colin Edwards, rode one very well indeed during the 90s in the World Superbike Championship.
Anyway, since that ambulance ride last millenium ive had a few close calls but kept the shiny side up. In the mean time I will keep my eyes... no... I mean my fingers crossed and hope mathematical probability continues in my favour.
My late Uncle Leon when he wore a younger mans clothes 1955 approx
The Yam that put me in an ambulance. Hospitalized for 24 hours and 1 minute. 2 vertebra broken.
One of my current rides. ZX10R right foreground
Another of my current rides... The Tupperware Terror :)
Just for the record:
During the 70s and 80s at the end of my working day I subconsciously switched off the thinking part of my brain and some other
mode switched on. The "other mode" was pretty narrow apart from pleasure seeking... responsibility was not part of the
equation. 1989 ended that, and by 1990 I stopped taking the "herbal remedy".
I truly believe the .05 alcohol limit while driving/riding imposed in this state is not stringent enough. And that being intoxicated while driving is an irresponsible and criminal act that should be penalized and/or remedied if possible.
