What are the camera clicks referred to in an earlier post? I assume it relates to the number of shutter actuations. How/where do I find that number? I have looked in the meta-data but am not sure what I should look for.

Many cameras record it in the Exif data stream. Some do not. I believe that Canon does not. Not sure about Nikon. If we knew your specific camera model, another owner here might be able to give you exact instructions.

A few days ago, someone posted a web site that when you up loaded a picture, it would tell you how may shutter actuation's you had on the camera, based on the picture you uploaded. I wonder if that person would up load the url again.

Daniel, I think you maybe out of luck because the Canon D60 doesn't include shutter actuations in the EXIF data. You may want Email or call Canon support and ask them the question about how to determine the shutter actuations. Arnold

Generally, you have to send your Canon camera to a service/repair facility for an actuation count. It is not a 'user-serviceable part', as they say.

This is a nice program and it has a free version. It's called Picture Information Extractor.

This program isolated your "shutter actuation" count from your mega-data - http://www.camerashuttercount.com

Please tell us if it works for your Canon camera

Just tried it with both a Canon RAW and a JPG - no count returned. Message says "It looks like your camera doesn't supply the necessary information", which jives with my information that shutter actuations are NOT stored in the Canon EXIF meta-data anywhere accessible to you or me.
