Yes, it's a Dog eat dog world..(you knew that was coming)
My niece's pretty kitty "Squeekers"
And the old store is in a very small town in MI. I almost scared the daylights out of my husband when I screamed for him to stop so I could take a picture of it. Some times it best to go out photo opportunity looking alone or with someone else that enjoys taking photos!

Yep... ditto on the old building!
Ya never know when a theme or photo-op will present itself. I can't tell ya how many times I've "stumbled" upon a great photo, sans my camera.

Love the dog eat dog photo...cute. The cat is a bit soft for me...like sharp eyes...but still nice touch. Love the building shot...reminds me of my younger years. Nice effect with the vignetting. Thanks for sharing.

that old general store/filling station would be a great photo op for a wedding with and old car.

(scenario) #1

Groom standing outside with an expression of, I don't think
anyone is here... looking back at her, she would be outside of the car leaning against it, fixing her lipstick, looking into her compact, like whatever... And the Journey begins...

(scenario) #2

your turn...

Enjoyed the photos. I thought I would add two that I liked in terms of building structures.

I can't remember the name of the town or village where we saw the building...it was in MI on our way up to Caseville though. I think I started with the letter K. Does that help you? haha Sorry I think it kind of sounded like an Indian name...

I like the old building photo the best. You appear to have lens distortion that causes the vertical lines in the building to collapse on each other. Notice they lean in opposite angles. Photoshop has a method for easily correcting this. I'll share the link for a tutorial on how to correct this. http://www.shutterfreaks.com/Tips/PerspectiveCorrection.html

As a builder, I think the "lean" you are seeing would be better fixed by a carpenter than software. Notice the lower columns to the left don't match the building corner or plywood tacked on to the front of the building. I think it's actually pretty accurately photographed.

I would have like to have seen the whole building, the top was cut off...The bottom left side of the picture could have been moved just a little to the right, it looks crooked now, but maybe that's from old age (first photo)... Love the Sepia treatment.

(scenario) #2 Groom comes bounding down from the porch & puts hand out to open door for bride - "Good news, Honey - they have a vacancy !!"
