Hi all, Just got me a new D600. :-) These flowers were shot with it and a 70-300 VR which is an ok lens. Images were cropped. I'm still learning how to adjust the depth of field which was a non issue with my D7000. So far I love this D600. I guess I'll be looking for new glass though.
Cheers, Ron...

Very Pretty, Bold and colorful.
I am a little frustrated with depth of field at very close range and macro, I want a whole bug in focus, not just the face. The whole Pistol, not just the Pollen. So i'm going to follow alone a bit. hope that's ok.

Thanks Pictxterowner. Yup, the macro thing gets pretty tough. A lot of folks use a focus stacking technic that involves many separate exposures at slightly different focus points which are then combined with pp. Cheers...

You are doing very well with your new camera. The only thing that I would suggest is to do a tighter crop on that last photo eliminating those two top flowers. That is the nice thing about the D600, you can do this without losing resolution.

Lucky you, Ron! All beautiful, but the black eyed susan's are my favorite :-)

Excellent job with these. The color really pops! Were these straight from the camera, or did you do something besides crop them?

Hi Treepusher. The jpeg settings were jacked in the settings in camera. Also the atmosphere was very clean that day. And oh ya, uv filter on the lens. Thanks for the kind words. Cheers.
