Have you ever taken a picture by accident and have it turn out to be something that you are proud to show off?
I was taking pictures at a Thanksgiving function this last Thursday and this is the picture I was lucky enough to capture. I didn't even see the shot coming.
My nine year old and her parents will be excited to get this shot.
I am very excited as well.
What do you think?

My Grandaughter ...I think it may be just a wee bit out of focus
Nice catch but yes I do believe it is out of focus
Candid's are great! but it is OOF. Next time click the shutter 1/2 way to lock in focus, then shoot.
Throw it out it is so out of focus it is embarassing

Hey Buddy -
Although it is out of focus, I am a Grand Dad too - and no pictures taken of the children is ever bad :-)
Cheers!

I want to thank each one that commented and as far as tossing out a picture of my grand daughter that I only get to see once a year...Are you out of your mind? No picture that I take of any members of my family will ever be tossed out.Plus it gives me the modivation to not do it again. Yes I felt it was and is out of focus...but my first shot of her it is a keeper!
Buddy36....ole butter fingers LOL LOL

Many contributors here have indicated that they have seen a beta version of a plug in that sharpens the focus on an out of focus print. No reason to throw away any photos, especially of family.

With Buddy's permission, I downloaded the shot from the site; however it's only 37K in size, so it's very low-res. He's going to try to get the original to me. I did some work on it, and am reposting it, but please go easy on the criticism. With a higher-res image to work with, I think I can do better, though I doubt I can ever turn it into a great shot. But, better is better...

RMM...you have done well my friend. As you say there is only so much one can do and you have to work with what you have. I am pleased with it and even if I do send you the orignal it is not anywhere near what you have already done with this one posted herein.
Thank you my friend.

WOW...this remark is embarrassing, not only is it rude, but also misspelled.
Buddy, it's all in what it means to you!
