The powers behind the powers that run the Republican Party believe that their only hope is to get more white people to vote for their candidate. They have a myopic view of the this country the comes down to an "us vs them" mentality. This works for them on a local level as they have skewed the voting districts to prevent any opposing views from garnering enough votes to change House Representation. Republicans are the minority party when it comes to registered voters and they will continue to be the minority party at the poles until the old ones in charge (Phyllis) die off. They just don't understand that they are on the incorrect side of too many issues that matter to the general population.
