I just returned from several days of photographing Brown Bears at Lake Clark National Park, Alaska. A "bucket list" item checked off!

Male (boar) brown bear ..... somewhere around 1,000 pounds

Mom and 1st year cubs eating razor clams

Superb set, Bob! All just photographed so well of such a powerful animal. You kept your distance? I think the brown bear can be aggressive, esp with those babies around.

great capture in the wild...not sure I would want to tangle with that first fella, he looks like something you would not want to anger....don't know which is worse, their teeth or those claws
