Critters: frogs enjoying sunshine, happy-face dragonfly and more (snake - please ID)
First two shots taken with Canon T3i and 55-250 mm lens, cropped. Rest are SX50.
The blackbird was facing the other way. Picasa can't flip images horizontally, but then I remembered to check "Creative Kit" which is linked from Picasa. The price is right, folks!
I'm thinking this snake is not a rattlesnake. Should have gotten better view of the head. It was dead, fortunately for me, as my dog and I nearly stepped on it while I had my eye on the eagle nest!
Do you wonder what it's thinking?
Amazing face!
Need sunglasses!
First one that's held still long enough for me to capture - so far - this summer.
Blackbird? Grackle?
Eeeek!!
It is indeed a rattle snake..
Sweet series Linda:)!Love the frogs,no idea on the snake.Wonder what killed it?

Oh man. How come I don't see a rattle on tail end?

I was thinking perhaps hit by car? Was on the gravel shoulder of Canyon Rd. Thanks very much for your comments, McBlondie!

Linda, great set and one does wonder what the frog is thinking and the Dragonfly looks like an alien.

Thanks. I decided to check a Washington State field guide website and another possibility is night snake.
