Moving "Plug-Ins"

I just got PS Elements 10 and would like to move/install 3 plug-ins from my old Elements 8 software. I tried downloading from the Topaz site but it ignores Elements 10 and wants to delete the plug-in(s) from El. 8 and re-install there. I hesitate completely deleting El. 8 and the plug-ins until I know they are safely installed on the new software. (I do have all the serial #'s.) I look forward to your help...Many Thanks!!

Thank you VERY much for the information. Have to leave for a couple of hours (darn it!) but will get it done when I get back. Bill

@ jbert

what program did you use to do your sketch of yourself?

Go to program file folder, adobe, PSE 8 open and go to plug-ins. Then go to PSE 10 and open to same place. There will be files like filters, frames, etc. Open filters and you will see plug-ins and short cuts to Topaz. Copy those. Paste to same folder in PSE 10. If you get a "file already exists replace yes-no," chose no. Do not replace the new plug-in that already exists. Look at the rest of the sub-folders and do the same. I need to do mine since I purchased Black Friday PSE 10 for $50. Have fun.

PS: looks like JBert just copied the FBI sketch and used that!!

@50teeslady

This is really old, but if I can find how I did it, I'll let you know. I do remember, it was just a button for sketch, nothing involved.

I just looked at my D5100. One of the modes when the dial is set to EFFECTS, is "color sketch." I played with it when I first got my camera. Lots of fun.

Just an FYI . . . Coincidentally, I was searching UHH for a sketch process that I remember someone laying out and used it fairly successfully.
