Mégantic is about 1 1/2 hours from here, maybe a bit more. I've been there only once and in the winter. Even tho I am a bit away, it is hard to comprehend how those who lost others can make it through.
They want tourists to drop by, I won't show up as that's the last thing the survivors want is a bunch camera toting tourists.
