DOF at 5.6 and 400mm is shallow, just lucky to get the shot with the low light and they came of the bank so fast I didn't see them until it was almost too late to get a shot.thanks, glad you enjoyed them

Nice job, Gary! You're right about the DOF being shallow at 400mm and wide open.

nice pics mate there is about twenty grey heron around one of my local lakes and they always take off when ya not ready well caught , jimmy :thumbup: :thumbup:
