His name is Dewitt Jones , a long time photographer for National Geographic.
His sincerity , common sense and inspiration shine through like a lighthouse in a storm.

Yes, it does. Your beliefs make your world. If you believe it's evil, out of control, etc., then it is. If you believe that it's good, that there are good people all over, that things can be improved, then that is your world. It is unfortunate that the media, movies, govt., try to impose on us their vision of the world. It is most unfortunate that way too many accept that vision. It's called 'mass consciousness' and it DOES manifest what is in it. Just image what the world would be like if even a tenth of the people accepted Mr. Jones' vision.

Sorry Amy but that’s just so much pie in the sky, one can promote peace and peaceful attitudes but one can’t think it into reality. The reality is there are bad guys out there doing bad things to innocent people daily, getting all philosophic and filling one’s head with warm fuzzy thoughts won’t change that. To deny the existence of bad guys only makes it easier for them to carry out their dirty deeds. The Boston Marathon, Sandy Hook, child abductions and thousands more will not end because one thinks it away. There are valid reasons one should teach their children how to be safe, would you go running at night by yourself on a dark and lonely trail?

Sometimes in order to be able to continue dealing with reality, it helps to take a refreshing dip into this world view and enjoy a little respite before reloading. That's what I get out of it.

This is an amazingly inspirational film, with a philosophy that not only applies to photography, but to almost anything in life.. I am bookmarking this and will watch it again and again. What a excellent outlook to work for. Watch it - you won't regret it.
Thank you tinosa
