Who says he would be an "illegal immigrant" upon entry? As defined by the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, he would not be classified as illegal immigrant.

Does anyone still remember what happened on that clear September morning? Does anyone still remember how WE ALL FELT when we saw the Towers fall, the smoke coming out of the Pentagon and the scorch stain on that field in PA ??
What would you say if there is another 9-11 !!!

I DO and I haven't forgotten. Which ones of you will NOT blame the US intelligence community for missing "yet another one !!"

With bastards like Snowden, our society has all but invited more terrorist attacks on U.S. soil --- OUR U.S. SOIL !!!

FOLKS LIKE SNOWDEN DO NOT DESERVE A COT AND THREE HOTS, FREE MEDICAL , AND TEMPERATURE CONTROLLED SLEEPING QUARTERS. There are so many others in our country who need and deserve that more than Snowden

Unfortunately, the U.S. is a kind and gentle society that has forgotten the espionage acts that were enacted so many decades ago. Now the courts just want to imprison the wannabe Snowdens, past and present.

BTW -- If you are wondering who I am. I DID NOT VOTE FOR THE INCUMBENT living in the White House. -- NEITHER TIME.

In my humble opinion, the NSA management should have their heads examined for hiring a high school drop out to service their computers and pay $125K per year to the guy. What was going through their minds? Did they really think a drop out was a good security risk?

Snowden is a traitor. All who lionize his actions on the left and the right are sadly misinformed. If he is a hero why is he trying to escape his actions?

Actually, the NSA did not hire the Bastard. Booze, Allen and Hamilton did. BAH is one of the 800 lb gorrillas (A major Intelligence contractor- they prefer to be identified as "Consultants") around DC and other highly-populated government regions.

I fail to see how Snowden ever passed the security protocols and screening process. Booz-Allen has serious judgement issues in their hiring practices. And how the hell did he get the ability to attain such secret information if proper protection of such data was in place? You would think there was password protection to access such sensitive data? IT heads may have access to such passwords, but not the fool who changes printer cartridges and loads paper, and that's about the intelligence level of a high school drop out.

I am thinking the U.S. government can impose harsh sanctions against any country that attempts to grant asylum to this malcontent. This would force him to live out his existence in a Russian airport using their public restrooms. Seems fair.

I can't really see your point .Why would being a dropout have anything to do with security risk and not being able to service computers. Are you insinuating that being a dropout makes you stupid and incompetent? I have know very smart uneducated people and also ran into VERY well educated STUPID ones. Sidenote: Where would the computer age be without" The Harvard educated Bill Gates?"IN case this" quote" is a joke.

From what I have read in the papers, Snowden does not fit into any of the categories that a person can legally be granted asylum, which would mean any country that takes him would be harboring a fugitive. I have also thought along the same lines as you about imposing sanctions on any country that takes him.

With all due respect, countries have the ability to make or change laws to fit their particular goals. They seem to find ways around any constitution that binds them to law. I believe you could make this argument for just about any area, including immigration status, tariffs, etc. Seems like less and less black and white and more and more grey when it comes to this sort of thing. My guess is any country that wants to keep or get rid of him, will do it if it fills their needs. You may be right on the harboring a fugitive statement, but in the end, I doubt anything more than political huffing and puffing will occur. Not sure he did us all a favor by skipping out. Some other country can finance his escapades in the future.
