What we need is Pres. "No Balls" Obama to organize a world-wide coalition against terrorism and then declare a world war on terrorism, with all countries in the coalition sending troops to root them out, letting them know that when caught they will be hanged, with their bodies burned and no Islamic rites performed. Then DO IT. Start off one place3 at a time and go thru the whole country like a vacuum cleaner, sucking up the miscreants. Let the villagers tell you who the good guys are and who the bad guys are...either sooner or later you are going to kill them all or they will run to another country and get a hostile reception there.

Well, in Brazil this past week, the good folks were having a soccer game. A ref and player got into it, the player was ejected, but then he and the ref got into a fight. The ref pulled a knife and killed him. So the fans took the ref, killed him, quartered him, decapitated him and stuck his head on a stick in the middle of the field. And I bet they were good Catholics. Oh, and then there was this Argentinian priest who railed against gays and lesbians, then hightailed it out of town with the church's money and two young boys.
MY point is that there is low, low consciousness among all people and to hold all accountable for the actions of the few is simply not good policy.
My opinion is that we need to stop interfering in their affairs and let them settle things as they see fit. Force against force has never worked long term and it's not working now. And do what Britain has done. Find the militant leaders in the country and have them deported.

I think it depends upon how you use that force and how ruthless you are to get the job done. Check out Ghengis Khan and his success. He used fewer troops than his enemies but was successful as he was ruthless and he persevered. Osama wanted to cause a religious war to break out between the Moslems and the west as he was confident that we in the west did not have the stomach for being ruthless enough to win. He seems to have forgotten that the Japanese thought the same thing in 1941 and look where it got them in August of 1945. Just sayin'.

Wow, don't know where to start! Force against force doesn't work??! Tell that to the Nazis or Imperial Japan. Force applied against evil is both justified and practical. However, when force is used it needs to be an all-out, total commitment to the utter annihilation of the enemy. That's why it should never be entered into without due consideration. Oh, and we're not British, we are the US??!!?! What the sucking hell is that supposed to mean?
