What kind of equipment are you using and what is your meta data? The all appear to be fuzzy mabybe camera shake or poor focus.

I really like getting a chance to photograph our buggy friends, but the spider takes a lot of setting aside of one's natural tendency to RUN. I would put on long lens and shoot. Great shots and obviously not the first time you have done it. Thanks for sharing.

Hi

Using a sony A330 with 18/55 kit lens

Could be shake as all were hand held but on a 300th speed so should have been plenty fast enough - auto focus shutter priority an most taken through the day.

Thanks for you comment

The locust pic is just almost there, macro is tough to get right handheld.

Hi Many thanks for your constructive and encouraging comments

this is the first time with these large spiders - have had a go with disasterous effect on the common house spider

Thanks again

Hi BusterBrownBB

These are not Macro - just really close with a 18/55 kut lens

thanks for your comment - much appreciated

My C&C is this...SHOOT THOSE SUCKERS! And I don't mean with a camera. The hopper is very destructive and the spider...well I just hate spiders. ;-) But the pics are great. ;-)

I know the rule of thumb for shutter speeds and lens focal lengths for telephoto lenses. However, I am not sure of any for macros. It seems there is a limit as to how fast a shutter one needs with respect to magnification.

Good foundation from which to start with these images.

To be totally honest - I don't know
