This little fellow sat on the wall and just posed while I took lots of shots. I shot from around 6 feet away. Straight from camera no PP , no cropping just converted from raw to JPEG.

Very nice shot. So, just out of curiosity, did you have to do any adjustment to the RAW or is it a straight conversion to JPEG. I shot all my pictures of European trip in RAW and JPEG. I'm posting the shots that I converted from RAW, but find that I have to pp almost all the shots at least some to get them to pop.

This one was straight from raw to jpeg. I normally find that I do have to make some slight adjustments normally a bit of contrast.

I suppose I'm a bit lazy with changing settings as most of my photos are shot during walking trips when wild animals and birds just appear and disappear with the click of a shutter, so I tend to set aperture and leave the camera to do the rest. Landscapes obviously allow a bit more time towards using manual settings trying to get it right in camera but very rarely.

Thank you for the information. I usually shoot in full manual, but I can see where aperture and shutter priority can come in very handy. While walking around on my trip, I tried this very technique and came up with some pleasing results. Thanks for the information. It is very helpful.
