More fun in the canyon today!

#4 - they were in the shade anyway, so decided to try black and white.

Canon SX50, some are cropped.

Looks like he's doing semaphore, lol. I like the B/W shot, too. Nice job.

Thanks fdeak and molly! It was quite delightful to see just that face, dominated by those ears among the flowers and grasses.

Don't you just love the reach the SX50 has? All good pics, Linda. The B&W works for this one.

Dook, angler and GeezerGal - thank you so much! I really appreciate your viewing and commenting.

Dook, I have a lot of free time :)

GeezerGal, I am always trying to stretch the SX50's capabilities even further. That's why so many of my shots are just barely acceptable technically :) But it's such a joyous experience just being out in nature, as you know.

Linda, there is one more that you might not have found yet. It will take up to a 15 second "long exposure" that does a fair job of getting static subjects in VERY low light without flash. This little piece of statuary is on my patio, under a solid Cedar plank roof. Waaaaayyyyyyy too dark for normal AV or AUTO setting at night but on a tripod in Manual, this was in only 10 seconds ... 15 secs was too bright. Will have lots of possibilities for nighttime scenery.

10 second exposure - zoomed - no crop or PP

Thanks! I'll check it out. I couldn't figure out how to set my manual focus this morning when trying to shoot through distant chain link fence, so that is job 1 today!
