God is glorified in His gospel being preached in interrogation.

We've all seen Atheists here on the 'hog bring up the things of God and give Christians an opportunity to respond and explain the gospel...(ironic eh?)

Well...you may not know it but a street preacher by the name of Tony Miano from the U.S. was arrested in London for street preaching. He offended someone with his statements that homosexuality (and all sexual immorality) was a sin against God, and was arrested.

What's great is that they taped his interrogation, and during that interrogation, he was able to proclaim the gospel about a half dozen more times!

Praise God for Tony's quick thinking and faithfullness.

Here is the transcript...it's interesting.

I have my questions as to the effectiveness of street preaching--followup and discipleship seem to be lacking. However, I have mixed thoughts about his guy--it is good that he is speaking and sharing the gospel, but, was he knowingly breaking the law in London? If he was, I can not see how the end is justification for the sin of breaking the law. It seems that making friends with people and in that friendship you share the gospel. Yes, Christians should have non-christian friends. This is not agianst the law.

Of course there isn't...but Jesus himself preached on the street, John the Baptist preached on the street, Paul did, they all did...it's biblical.

If God saves someone...they will find a church.

I don't think so....It's a pretty vague law: "if someone doesn't like what you say and is offended, then you've broken the law"

Pretty vague wouldn't you say?

I guess my first observation would be...where did you get that idea? Certainly not from the bible...the model of evangelism is that the gospel is preached in the street, wherever you are...I've never seen the model you describe used.

Agreed, we should have non-Christian friends, but we shouldn't shirt our duty to "go and preach the gospel to all nations...." should we?

I am amazed at the extent of political correctness in England. I sincerely hope our freedom of speech never becomes eroded like this.....frightening, truly. :|

rpavich, I was not indicating anything about should we or should not proclaim the gospel. I applaud those who can tell many at one time and coordinate followup. It is not my intention to start disputing over evangelization methods.

Here is a method of getting out the Gospel that any one can use:

http://www.ourupsight.com/

It can be used with emails, websites, printed cards, etc.
As much as possible it has no association with any church or denomination or person. The video preacher was chosen because of the uniqueness of his presentation, as well as the message he proclaims; but there is no connection or endorsement by either party.

In 1967 I was in San Francisco where I met my ship in dry dock at the Naval Shipyard. Of course, Market St. was the place to be. I was right in the middle of a cultural revolution and I didn't even know it. It was a strange place to be at that time. What I did notice was the street preachers on almost every corner. I remember wondering about their mental state. I am sure that not all were preachers but they all seem to have a message.
I was from a small hick town and had never seen anything like it in my life up till that time..
