Had a play with one of the shots I took of this street guy I shot last week.
Played around with a few versions of which these I thought worked best.

I expect many will be horrified with results.

Good job! The pattern of the bricks in the background is a bit distracting though

Very interesting. The "grunge" seems a bit over done, but I like this. The man carries his life on his face.

I like both but I like the first one the most. The Essence of facial character.

Excellent job. A lot of life in that face.

Cheers all.
Many thanks for adding your thoughts.

Still learning and experimenting with this type of make-over and I'm finding it a challenge to achieve what I'm after.

Thank you vtmikey.
I'll just use this post of your to drop in a few more versions I've cooked up of this image.
I'd be interested if anyone has the time to let me know which they feel works best.

Of the 2nd addition I like #1 very much, you nailed those eyes. #3 is good. I don't care for the b&w, a bit too strong for my taste, and the last is not as interesting to me, but I am certainly no expert, just stating what I like. I'm sure there are many more knowledgeable folks here who can advise you.

Difficult to choose one over the other,
but if I had to... #3 only because the
gentleman looks more approachable,
more content? Idk..he has kind of a
fierce look in the other shots .which
is ok too...!!!

I take it #1 is the original, if so stay with it, it can be touched up to bring out the wrinkles etc in it.
