Which better shutter speed for macro with flash?
I use 2 sb-200 and one sb-800 as master!
Thanks

Most modern DSLRs synch speedlights at 1/200-sec (or longer) duration to fully expose sensor, top-to-bottom. Any shorter duration, i.e. 1/500-sec, will cast a shadow of shutter curtain onto sensor, cutting-off either top or bottom of captured image.

Some insects only appear at night, and I'm thinking to use an ultraviolet light to attract them in the dark night to take macros with flash!
Have you ever tried it?

We do this monthly (full moon) at a local Nature Preserve. We set (UV) black lights to shine on white sheets.
