Want honesty, well you will get it here especially from me.

You have captured the essence of the market, I would like to see a crop to the first to los the empty top left corner as your eye is drawn to the bright metal when it should be the brightly lit men, why oh why oh why did you not stand there taking 20 or so of the great chap with the poor birds, but good shot

Thanks for the honesty, it's appreciated and taken on board. Being honest I might not agree ;-)

As to the chap with the chicks, why would I want to limit myself to 20 shots, I have about 30.

Graham.

Love the shots, as for the first my eyes were instantly drawn to the men and noticed the detail in the face of the man facing. Love it, I feel you caught the essence of the market. 2 men talking about the quality of the livestock or sharing farming techniques. One could go on. Love them.

Two good images lodeway, I love the B & W, it really works well in proportions and with the PP work you've carried out, and the second one could be the first chapter in a great story. Great stuff.

I would add to the above: the angle of the closest fence adds a great deal to the composition as well. Super!

#2 - Fascinating image. I would like to see a series as I need to know more of this story! :)

In number one your lighting is perfect.
in number two I would open my lens to f4 or what ever is your lowest. This would blur our your background and really make the old man POP

Thanks.
It was Melton Mowbray Livestock Market. And, yes I did have a pork pie from the excellent farmers market held on the same day :-)

Thanks.

Number two was shot with a 35mm f2 lens at 1/100 f2.5 iso 800
It's in the exif. The lighting is poor in these markets.

Number one was with a 70 200 f2.8 at f2.8
