Amazing, how did you do that?

Not sure exactly what or which image you're referring to but throughout the thread I gave details of my technique as briefly as I could. If there's more you want to know, I'd be happy to share my limited experience further with you. Thanks!

Gessman, I have enjoyed your whole thread of beautiful roses and still life. Your finale for Independence Day was gorgeous. Loved the reflections. My favorite is the rose and pearls in the wine glass. I am glad you plan to do more.

Thank you horseart but I gotta tell you - you're bruising my modesty while at the same time, inspiring me to get back in there and do more, better. Hopefully, I can.

Thank you carlysue. I share your preference for the pearls and white rose. I'll try not to disappoint.

You're entirely too kind horseart. I'm brand new to the still life thing. I get weary of chasing critters around in the woods and shooting my son's football games so I thought I'd try to cultivate something I can do in the basement when the weather's too bad to shoot outdoors. These are my first few attempts but hopefully, it'll get better. Here's one, the first one I really like, and I think it may remain one of my all-time favorites. It's hokey, I know, but I really like the black-white thing and love the reflection. I did run this through SMART Photo Editor and selected an auto-effect that gave it a quasi-hdr look.
