Can anyone tell me why all of my filters, photo effects , frames, and actions are all gone from pse10 after installing cs 6? How do I get them back ?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,

Ellen

The installation of CS6 probably over wrote the files. You might be able to get them back by using Recover to go back to before the CS6 installation if you are using Windows.

Myself, I always save my actions to a separate file in CS5.
To do so is probably an option in PSE 10 in the Actions Palette as it is in CS5 but since I'm not a regular user of PSE someone else will have to confirm.

Good luck

FOLLOW THESE DIRECTIONS: FIRST ON YOUR DESKTOP MAKE A SHORTCUT,

WHEN ASKED TO, NAME IT THE FOLLOWING. COPY THIS AND PASTE IT IN AS

THE SHORTCUT NAME. C:\ProgramData\Adobe\Photoshop

Elements\10.0\Photo Creations\photo effects WHEN YOU OPEN THIS

IT WILL HAVE ALL OF YOUR SAVED INFO YOU ARE MISSING. YOU CAN

LEAVE THIS FILE ON YOUR DESKTOP AND IF YOU EVER ADD ANY ACTIONS

JUST PUT THEM IN THIS FILE.

GO TO EACH ITEM IN ORDER GIVEN BELOW, OPEN EACH ITEM GO ON TO

NEXT ITEM. WHEN YOU GET TO THE LAST ONE NAMED 10 AFTER OPENING

IT THERE WILL BE A LIST OF 6 OR 7 FILES LOOK AT THE LAST ONE IN THE

LIST, IT SHOULD BE "thumbDatabase.db3" DELETE THIS FILE.

CLOSE ALL THE WINDOWS AS YOU OPENED THEM AND RESTART

ELEMENTS 10. IT WILL TAKE LONGER TO OPEN AS THE PROGRAM

AUTOMATICALLY REBUILDS THE ERASED FILE. THIS WILL RESTORE THE

YOUR FILES.
