Finally! Nikon vs. Canon, scientist uses...

I came across this little tidbit of information and was really impressed with the way it was thought out. It was nice to read about it's intended purpose.
I am sure that if Nikon would have been contacted, they would have put something like this together. Read here:
http://petapixel.com/2013/06/24/this-870-megapixel-monster-camera-has-116-sensors-and-weighs-3-tons/Now, just for clarification, I am a Canon shooter not by choice. My parents gave me a Canon DSLR. I have obtained many lenses for the Canon and so I am too invested to change. If I had the chance for a straight trade-in, then I would get a Nikon. Just saying...
Oh stop it! All Canon shooters know that Canons are better than Nikons. By the same token, Nikon users believe Nikons are better than Canons. They're just misinformed.

Rumor has it, that the makers went to Nikon first and said, "can you build this lens for us?". The Nikon engineers, after a hearty laugh said, "your kidding us, RIGHT?"
Anyway, it was built by Canon !!! SS
Are you people serious - if so I'm sure that you could find a more appropriate battlefield - with an Olympus as first prize for the winner!
Weighing in at 3 tons, I would be very cautious about using one of those straps that connects to the tripod socket. :D
Finally a Canon that beats Nikon. Where can I buy one of those?

Please stop this type of discussion! This silly argument takes up a lot of information space in UHH. Being a retired Photo Equipment Tech. and for being 37 yrs in photography, I have owned both brands, used both brands and been inside of all brands. The quality difference in the two? NONE! The build quality difference in the two? NONE! The big difference is spelling and preference. If this was a car forum would there be constant argument between Nissan and Toyota?

No arguments; Nissan is clearly better than Toyota. But this thread is about a camera for the
Subaru telescope with parts made by
Mitsubishi. :P

You can buy a Canon that beats a Nikon at any camera store. Sorry I couldn't resist.
