I like them all. But on #1 I get the feeling I'm looking at my feet. #2 I think is the best, enough foreground to bring it in and enough sky for perspective. You created your composition by positioning the pillars or whatever they are. I like it ... a lot :-) :-)

I am not about your settings, nor the time of day, or any other piece of gear used. . .'cause that is akin to asking if you wear boxers or briefs.

It is solely about the image. Results. Does the image call out to you, telling you of its hidden meanings? Can the image support a fictional short story written about it? Number 2 can, the others, in my opinion, cannot.

Thaks for the comment mooseeyes, number 2 was the " money shot" in my eyes. These were a practise as im off to cornwall in august and hope to get more like these.

Hi Tom, thanks for the comment. As for the settings i had my iso right down to its lowest, 100, the aperture was at its smallest and i used three nd filters which added to 14 stops the shutter speed worked out to between 6 and 8 seconds. It was about 16:00 when i got to the beach but would have benefited me if i was a few hours later when it was a bit darker and was able to use even slower shutter speeds.

Hope that helps you and hope to see some of your pics soon

Regards
Lez

lez68: Very nice set. Number two take the prize. Thanks for the info on the setup. I have to check to see if can add such a filter to my SX50

Thanks for posting

Steve
