I did his "regular" images a week or so ago, but got him back to do some sport-oriented stuff yesterday. Here are four.

Number 1 and 3 shot with two 12x60 strips w/baffles and Einstein strobes. The overhead light was a White Lightning 1600 in a gridded beauty dish. strip metered to f/5.6 and overhead to f/4.

Two and four are one light and a reflector. The one light is a 3x4 softbox and one Einstein. Reflector is the 36x72 Photoflex silver.
Light is NOT aimed at the subject, but out in front.

All with a Nikon D3 and 70-200.

Enough Post processing to make Gramps vomit. :-)

Captain, you did that young man proud, I am mesmerized by those eyes, I hope he lives up to the potential I see in them.

Love them and the fact that you shared how you lit them.
Thanks, Captain!
(I hope this doesn't mean you have to kill us now.)

Just perfect.

One and four is a prime example of how square shoulder can work on tight crops.

Nice color, tone match and lighting on the two composites!

Once in a blue moon there is work presented here on UHH that is "amazingly exceptional" and CaptainC, you have met those standards with this series. Extremely professional looking images. I would give you an A+++ if I were your teacher and this was a school project! Bravo! Cudos, and everything else! We all want to see more and more of your work. Please share with us.
