Carolina Wings Loc: Flew from North Carolina to Pennsylvania

I don't post in here very often...since I get very few birds in flight or on the water...my shots are mostly of songbirds. I wanted to see if anyone could see what the Eagle was carrying...please forgive the poor image...it's cropped to death.

Don't know what the furry thing is, but if that is a poor image, I'd love to see a 'good' one. It is still sharp on download. Great shot. :thumbup: :thumbup:

Thank you DOOK...I appreciate that and your thumbs up! Someone at the site thought it was a groundhog...I thought it looked more like a squirrel...but not really sure what it was??

Jan, it's hard to tell but the furry tail and the dark color of the fur suggests mink.

Thank you birdpix for trying to identify it for me...I think that might be it...there are minks in that area.

I really like the shot and was thinking "squirrel" until birdpix suggested "mink." It looks like the rear end of one of those.
