my apoligies

I have not been giving this group the attention it deserves. For those who do not know, I am ddiagnosed with severe chronic depression and anxiety attacks. I am very open about it as I feel that the stigma of mental illness needs to be overcome. I trust that Jesus will eithhher heal me of the disease or give me the strength to endure. My faith has helped me in my struggle. Were it not for my faith in God and the love of my cat, i would proably not even be here right now.

between not having the internet at home, and my battle with apathy, I withdrew for a while. FYI Winston churchill also strugelled with depression all his life, he called it his black dog days. Things that i normally enjoy, i don't. That includes the Hog. Also did not want to deal with the usual uberliberal flamer antagonists that like to show how compasionate and tolerant they are by bashing God, conservatives, and traditional values.

Rpavich, we all know you don't believe in God. Why do you post here on a group that does. Funny also how you don't seem to bash buddism, hinduism, or islam. You are very mistaken, and Jesus went to the cross for you as well as me. if you created an athiest/humanist photography group i would not go on it just to cause trouble. I would respect but disagree with your views. what you are doing is like going on a golf photography forum to argue that bowling is the superior sport.

Kindly show some liberal compassion and respect by stopping your inane coments that have nothing to do with PHOTOGRAPHY that gives glory to the LORD. I pray for your soul and the souls of all the nonbelievers that you discover that Jesus exsists and wants to bless you. You may not believe in HIM, but HE believes in you. As a former atheist/humanist who has seen the light, i know you are on the wrong road that leads to some very unpleasenant consequences.

again my apoligies to all, i do seem to be coming out of this dark patch ive been under. keep posting and give God the Glory      :D :-D

God Bless you.
Mental illnesses are like having a broken leg. Sometimes if you take care of it it will heal. Sometimes if it is too bad you have to live with it.

May God heal you.

You are very right.
We go through problems so that we can help others.
I have been amazed by the things God has done in my life because of my problems.
I love James when he says to count it all joy.

James 1:2 Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3 because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. 4 Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.

thank you for the encouragment. I find that for me if I can use the creative side of my brain, it keeps the depression in check. Focusing on helping others for God's glory also keeps the dark side in check.

Sinatraman, unless Rpavich has completely changed his views, I think your assessment of this fellow is all wrong. Perhaps you typed in the wrong name. 8-)

I have found the same thing. When you give yourself away by helping others your problems seem to go away.

Nothing to apologize for, Sinatraman. Since Christians are subject to every other kind of physical illness, why is it any surprise that they are subject to mental problems also?

This might help:
http://www.crosswalk.com/faith/spiritual-life/do-real-christians-get-depressed.html

We'll be praying for you. Get yourself whatever help you can, so you can serve God in "fulness of joy" for many more years.

PS: Don't worry about fighting the battle with non-believers. Just take care of yourself. There are many others out there who can fight any battles that need fighting. Just relax and let God fight His own battles for awhile; He'll understand that you need to rest and rejuvenate your spirit.

Wait until you get old, it gets worse.
I walk from the living room to the kitchen and forget what I was there for.

If I could only find the delete button for my brain I could get rid of all the useless information and have more room for the good stuff. :-(

I'm glad to hear you are starting to feel better. I look forward to getting on Hedgehog every day. I avoid the general chit chat forums and just visit and post on the ones on photography so I can avoid politics and political correctness for awhile.

Sinatraman....I feel for you brother...I do. I've been related to several with depression and it's something that's hard to fathom unless you go through it.

You are right...hang on to Jesus, nothing else can be your life line...nothing else.

Don't apologize...we all understand, we are with you and praying for you my friend and brother.

May God bless you and keep you.
