Photographing waterfalls is somewhat of a newly acquired skill and I still find myself wondering what approach to take when doing post-processing in Lightroom3.

In the first photo I used some vibrance but no warming, and did some GND exposure tweaking in the upper right to enhance some loss of color due to directional light. Water is cool.

In the second photo there is some warming and a little vignetting to draw the eye toward just the water, in addition to the GND exposure adjustment in the upper right. Water is warmed.

Thoughts and feedback, please?

Beautiful shots. However, in the warmer photo, my eye pulls to the yellow instead of the water. The first photo I had to pull my eye off the water to view the rest.

Your way of describing your reaction caused a bell to go off in my head, and I would agree with you. The water is the star of the show. Very clear and simply put. Thank you!
