I went down to the the lake to get pictures of the full moon and took these two pictures while I was there. It would have been nice to get the fisherman a bit brighter but then I lost the sunset reflecting off of the city. The other one is from the same spot well after sunset lol.

Nice set Rob, My other half's brother lives in Mississauga and her father in Oakville, but sadly never fished there, only up north in Dryden area.

Thanks GRW100. These are at mouth of the Credit river in Mississauga. You would probably get better fish up in Dryden.

Very nice. I love the elements in the first photo. The fisherman, the bird in flight and the swan. The peace of nature against the background of a modern turbulent city.

Thank you very much for your comments magicray. It is a peaceful part of the city.

Very nice pair of shots! Think my personal favorite is #2. To me, there is something almost magical about a brightly lit city skyline against the evening sky. A question: Did you use a tripod for these? Thanks in advance.

Thanks tbell7D. The first one was hand held and the second one was on a tripod with a 13 second exposure and probably about 60% crop. I'm surprised that I got to take that long and exposure with out an airplane flying through.

Very nice. I especially like #1. Great DoF, great scene and light. You even got a beautiful swan in there. So much going on. Which can be a bad thing, but here I really think it works very well.

Thanks globetrekker. I agree about the pictures can be too busy. One other picture I took of this scene that day had 2 Canada Geese with 4 babys, 3 Ducks, 2 Swans and 2 Turns all swimming around the fisherman, way too much going on then.
