This was taken a rehearsal for a play at my school and was posted with the mom's permission. I was taking shots of the kids while rehearsing, and this particular afternoon none of the spot lights were being used. I was surprised the shots came out as well as they did, with no flash. A little noisy, but not bad considering the iso was set at 800.
This girl was new to our school this year, and rather shy. Working on the play drew her out a lot, and she scored one of the main roles. Her role was to play a lounge singer at a speak easy...I had never heard her sing before, so this was a huge surprise for me. She sang beautifully.
Very nice shots. I like the low key look. The first photo is great.

Thanks g. Nice when things aren't as bad as you think :)
Hi Cyn, iso 800 turned out to be the perfect setting, they turned out very nice. I bet Her Mom would be delighted to have a few prints. BTW, what camera did you use?

Did you happen to take any photos of her at that point?
and if so would it be possible to post them.
The stage transforms many and i bet it was worth being seen.
My 3 children were very shy, but now that my son is an adult, he could probably really put on a performance..
